Social Work Interns:
Meghan Farrell
Meghan Farrell comes from Queens. She attends Wurzweiler school
of Social work at Yeshiva University. This is her second year.
Last year, she interned at YAI Astoria Day Hab. Meghan attended
Queens college for undergraduate work and majored in Psychology.
Aside from social work, she is also a res hab worker. She also
visits Jewish children at St. Mary’s Hospital for children.
She enjoys learning Torah, especially Halacha and chasiddus.
She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Michali Feintuch
Michali Feintuch is from Baltimore and recently moved to Kew Garden
Hills. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently
pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Fordham University.
Michali is married to Shimmy Feintuch, MSW, who worked at YCQ as a
social work intern two years ago. In her spare time, she enjoys
hiking, boating, and singing.
Shaya Hecht
Shaya Hecht is married with a baby boy and lives in Kew Garden hills.
He attends Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim and is currently pursuing his MSW
degree from Long Island University. He is also a professional singer.
Shaya has a great deal of experience working with children. In the
summers, he is Assistant Head Counselor at Camp Negeela.
Aliza Rabinovich
Aliza Rabinovich Gewirtz attends Wurzweiler school of social work.
She is in her second year and is also finishing up her Masters of
Jewish Education at the Azreili Graduate School for Jewish Education
and Administration. Her first year internship was at Yeshiva
University’s Institute for University School Partnership. She is
also a graduate of Stern College. Aliza and her husband live in
Washington Heights and spend their summers at Camp Mesorah.
Azi Steiner
Azi Steiner received his BA from the Lander College for Men and is
currently enrolled at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social
Services. Rabbi Steiner comes to us with years of experience including
serving as the dorm counselor at Yeshiva Aderet Yerushalayim and
teaching Judaic Studies for children with special needs. He currently
serves as an assistant Head Counselor at JEP’s camp Nageela in the
summer with intern, Shaya Hecht. In his (limited) spare time, he
enjoys playing the guitar and mandolin, horseback riding and spending
time with his wife. He commutes from Passaic, NJ.
